I became a Certified Health Minister through Wesley Theological Seminary's Heal the Sick Program and I am a member of the Health Ministries Association. I am currently working with my church to implement a Health and Wellness committee to begin to education the congregation on current health issues. This will include not only exercise and nutrition but local, state and regional medical issues, local food need and that health and wellness isn't just about these things. It includes so much more. I hope to expand to get us out and about in the community of Weatherford, OK.

Faith and Health Classes:
Get My People Going: On the Journey to Wellness
This study invites people of all ages into a community experience of naming the areas where we need better health, and then making changes step-by-step that will improve health of both body and spirit. 8 weeks-once a week.
Model for Healthy Living
Designed to help us consider the interconnectedness of life and to improve our overall health and wellness. Through the lens of scripture, you will learn more about the seven components of the Model for Healthy Living: Faith Life, Work, Nutrition, Movement, Emotional, Friends & Family, and Medical. 8 weeks-once a week.
Faith and Health in the Bible
Explores the connection between spirituality and wellness. The Bible has a lot to say about this connection. Sessions 1-6 will cover exploring the bible and exploring my life. Session 7 includes an opportunity to brainstorm how you can become involved in health ministry’s right where you are. 7 weeks-once a week.
BodyMindSoul
In this class we will explore the connection between Body, Mind, and Soul. Learning how all 3 of these can work together to take us even deeper into our spiritual life while also learning about being healthy. 3-4 weeks-once a week.

Workshop options:
- Yoga and Christianity- a history of yoga and what practicing it means for us as Christians. 2-3 hours.
- Prayer Beads- A history of prayer beads through different religions ending with Christianity. We will also make our own set of beads to take home and learn how to use them. These will be Anglican style prayer beads. 2-3 hours.
- Congregational Health Promoter- This is a day long or two shorter days’ workshop teaching what health ministry is and how to create a Health and Wellness committee in your own church. 8 sessions (1 or 2 day session, could do a weekly class instead for 8 weeks).
- Healthy Cooking Class- Learn how healthy cooking isn’t as hard as it seems. Taste 2-3 different recipes and go home with a recipe booklet. This could also be a “you cook it too” type class, depending on available facilities. 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
- BodyMindSoul: A Workshop- This workshop will combine several of the options together as well as the Faith and Health class teachings. This workshop is meant to bring together these 3 areas: Body, Mind, and Soul into a more full way of seeing health and fitness. This is an all-inclusive workshop and would work best in a retreat style setting. It could be a day long (Saturday 8-5 type session with food) or a 2 partial day retreat (Friday evening 6-9p and Saturday 9-2 with food). Locations choices are numerous. Cost for this workshop will depend on location, number of attendees and supplies. There is also the possibility of bringing in other presenters for special topics.
